Welcome to the home of the Queen's Sunshine Foundation Club - A Queen's University chapter of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada!
Ratified by the Alma Mater Society over the summer of 2013, we are looking forward to a great inaugural year as a campus club.
The Sunshine Foundation of Canada
The Sunshine Foundation of Canada impacts the lives of Canadian children with severe physical disabilities and life-threatening illnesses by granting dreams. Since 1987, Sunshine has made over 7000 dreams come
true. Fulfilling dreams grants kids the strength, freedom, empowerment, and joy
to hope for a brighter, happier tomorrow that holds more than just a new
barrier.

Our Mission as a Queen's Club
The Queen's Sunshine Foundation Club aims to support, promote, advocate, and fundraise for The Sunshine Foundation
of Canada. We aim to empower our club members to connect with one another and the Kingston Community to achieve the ultimate goal of granting more dreams to Canadian children locally, provincially, and nationally.
We aim to raise awareness of Sunshine
within the Queen’s and Kingston community
Approximately 50 000 children
across Canada qualify for a Sunshine Dream. Sunshine envisions that every
Sunshine kid shall live his or her dream, including kids from Kingston and the
surrounding area! Greater advocacy and awareness within the Kingston community
means more children are identified and referred to Sunshine, which means more
kids will see their dreams fulfilled!
We aim to organize and lead fundraising events both at Queen’s and within the Kingston community
Exciting, fun events not only help to spread the word about Sunshine, they help to raise funds that go directly towards fulfilling the dreams of Sunshine Kids. The Queen's Sunshine Foundation Club will work to develop and lead amazing fundraising events and will work in close collaboration with the local
chapter, supporting and volunteering for the chapter’s various tasks and
events.
